    50 hectares hectares

LJD Corporation is actively involved in land restoration efforts in Sabah, Malaysia, particularly around Kampung Kepayan Baru and Kayu Madang landfill. Through their Greenway mobile app, the organization provide an integrated platform that connects smallholder farmers and marginalized youth to available land for rentencouraging the productive and sustainable use of abandoned or underutilized land. The app also features an educational module focused on sustainable farming, composting, waste segregation, and reforestation. Users, many of whom are from rural or underserved backgrounds, can acces bite-sized, visual learning materials in local languages. These materials are designed for users with low literacy, ensuring inclusivity in environmental education and land stewardship. The organization currently manage around 50 hectares of land and are piloting regenerative farming activities, including organic planting, native crop reintroduction, and soil recovery using compost from food and agricultural waste. These efforts are community-led, empowering vulnerable groups like refugee youths, women, and the unemployed to participate in green income opportunities. Their goal is to restore degraded land while building community resilience through technology and local knowledge. The organization is deeply interested in expanding their restoration efforts and welcome partnerships with faith-based and global networks that align with their vision of environmental justice and social empowerment. To overcome this, the organization is developing an AI-powered chatbot that supports voice interaction in at least 33 local languages and dialects spoken in Sabah. However, building and maintaining a multilingual database that is fast, accessible, and lightweight enough for low-internet areas remains a technical hurdle. Ensuring the app runs smoothly without lag, especially on low-end devices, is also critical.
