These terms cover how you may use the Faiths for Land website and masterclass. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. Please read them, as they are short and written plainly.
Who can take part
The masterclass is open to faith leaders, community members, and anyone working on faith-led land restoration who is 18 or older. You agree that the details you give us at registration, namely your name, email, country, faith tradition, and organization, are accurate, and that you will keep your sign-in details to yourself.
Using the masterclass well
We want this to be a respectful, welcoming space for learners from every tradition and region. When you use the site and its discussion circles, you agree to:
- Treat other learners and facilitators with respect, in line with our Code of Conduct.
- Use the materials for your own learning and for restoration work in your community.
- Not upload unlawful, hateful, or harmful content, and not harass or impersonate others.
- Not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
- Not resell, rebrand, or charge others for access to the course.
If someone breaks these rules, we may remove content or suspend an account to keep the community safe.
Free of charge
The masterclass is free. There is no fee to register, take the lessons, or earn your certificate of completion. We will never ask you to pay to access the core course.
Who owns the materials
The course content, including the videos, lessons, worksheets, and text, is the intellectual property of the Faiths for Land coalition and its partners, and is shared with you for your own learning and restoration work. You may quote and adapt the guidance for non-commercial use within your community, with credit to Faiths for Land. You may not sell it or present it as your own.
Partner names and logos, including those of the G20 Global Land Initiative, the UNCCD, WWF’s Beliefs & Values Programme, and Trillion Trees, are used with permission and remain the property of those organisations. Nothing here gives you the right to use them.
No warranty
We work hard to keep the masterclass accurate, available, and useful, but we provide it "as is". We do not promise that the site will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and the course is educational material, not professional advice. See our Disclaimer for what the course does and does not certify.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Faiths for Land and its partners are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from acting on the educational guidance it contains. Always consult qualified local experts before carrying out restoration work on the ground.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing-law jurisdiction to be confirmed], and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction. We will update this section before the masterclass opens to learners.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
