Nothing. There is no fee to register, to take part, or to receive your certificate. The G20 Global Land Initiative and the UNCCD built it with WWF’s Beliefs & Values Programme and Trillion Trees, and it is offered free to faith communities everywhere.

Faith leaders and community members of any tradition who want to care for land. Imams, priests, monks, rabbis, pastors, lay leaders, youth groups, and anyone who helps look after a place of worship, a sacred grove, a garden, or community land. You do not need a title to take part.

No. The nine modules start from the beginning and assume no technical background. If you already run restoration work, you will still find planning tools, monitoring methods, and partners you can use.

A phone or a computer, and an internet connection. That is all. The lessons work on a basic smartphone. If your data is slow or limited, see the question below on low-bandwidth options.

Every lesson has a written transcript you can read instead of watching the video, and an audio version you can listen to. Both use far less data than video. You can read a transcript once and come back to it offline. We keep page sizes small so the site loads on a slow connection.

Video captions and transcripts are available in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Indonesian, and Arabic. The site itself and the lessons are in English for now. A few of the newest videos have English captions only, while their translations are being prepared. We are working to bring more of the content into other languages over time.

About 8 hours 40 minutes across the nine modules, at your own pace. Most people study a little each week rather than finish in one sitting. Two live sessions bring learners together to ask questions and meet others: 5 October 2026 and 30 November 2026, both at 3:00pm Central European time.

A circle is a small group of learners who go through the masterclass together, sharing ideas and questions as they go. Many people find it easier to keep going with others alongside them. You take part in your circle through the discussion space and the live sessions.

Yes. Finish the masterclass and you receive a certificate of completion, co-signed by the G20 Global Land Initiative, the UNCCD, and WWF’s Beliefs & Values Programme. To complete it, work through all nine modules and pass the short quizzes, which need 75% to pass.

Yes. We only collect what we need to run the masterclass: your name, email, country, faith tradition, and organization. We use only essential cookies to keep you signed in, and privacy-friendly analytics that do not track you across the web. We do not sell your data.

Yes, and we encourage it. Each person registers with their own email so everyone receives their own certificate, and you can all join the same circle and work through the modules as a group.

You leave with a restoration plan for real land, the skills to carry it out, and a place in a network of faith communities doing the same work. You can add your project to our global map, and we will look for partners and funders who can support it.
