Code of conduct
Faiths for Land brings together people of many faiths from around the world. That is its strength. These few guidelines keep our shared space safe, kind, and focused on the work we came to do: caring for the land.
What we ask of one another
Honor every faith
People from many traditions gather here. Speak about your own beliefs with pride, and about others with respect. Do not mock, belittle, or judge another tradition. Difference is welcome. Disrespect is not.
Do not preach to convert
This is a space to learn about land, not to win followers. Please do not try to convert others or push your faith on anyone. Share what your tradition teaches about caring for the earth, and let others do the same.
Stay on our shared ground
Our common mission is land restoration. Keep the conversation there. Politics, doctrine debates, and arguments that pull us apart take us away from the work we came to do together.
No harassment or hate
No insults, threats, bullying, or hateful speech of any kind, including against a person’s faith, country, gender, or background. Treat everyone as you would want a guest in your own community to be treated.
No spam or selling
Do not flood the space with adverts, repeated links, or unrelated promotions. Share resources that genuinely help others restore land.
Protect each other’s privacy
Do not share someone else’s name, photo, message, or contact details outside this community without their permission. What people share here is given in trust.
If something goes wrong
If you see or experience anything that breaks these guidelines, tell us. Write to info@faithsforland.org. Share what happened, where, and when, so we can look into it. We take every report seriously and we keep your message private.
What happens next
We want everyone to feel welcome, so we act fairly and in steps:
- A friendly reminder For a first or small problem, we reach out privately, explain the concern, and ask the person to put it right. Most issues end here.
- A clear warning If it continues, we give a formal warning and may pause some access while things settle.
- Removal For serious harm, or behaviour that does not stop, we remove the person from the community to keep everyone else safe.
These steps are here to protect this community, not to punish. Our hope is always repair, so we can get back to the land together.
