Karen Baptist Theological Seminary's organization is a faith-based organization located in Burma, a country rich in natural resources. Serious consequences of these environmental issues have affected both rural and spiritual well-being. Recognition of the deep spiritual connection between people and the land has led Karen Baptist Theological Seminary's organization to incorporate ecological concerns into its academic curriculum. Various theological approaches are adopted to collaborate on eco-theology, aiming to engage meaningfully in environmental conservation initiatives. Karen Baptist Theological Seminary's organization, believe that caring for land is a vital expression of their faith. Although the organization is just in the initial steps for land restoration activities, the organization is firmly committed to this important work in response to the growing environmental degradation and climate impacts that affect some of the most vulnerable areas in the country. In order to help water resources and prevent landslides, Karen Baptist Theological Seminary's organization has collaborated with partners on tree planting initiatives. Recently, a project in three locations in Taungoo area led to the planting of 7,620 trees, significantly contributing to environmental conservation efforts. At present, in Bago and Ayeyarwady regional Division, the organization is exploring opportunities to launch land restoration activities. In these places, both ecosystems and local communities have been threatened severe soil erosion and deforestation. Especially, the organization intend to promote sustainable agriculture through the use of organic fertilizers, as well as to replant native species, including mangroves and native trees, in degraded areas. The organization is committed to this mission because the organization acknowledge that ecological renewal and land restoration activities, which includes issues such as delays in permitting, regulatory changes, and security concerns. In addition, the organization require more technical expertise to strengthen their ability for planning and implementing long-term projects effectively. The scope of restoration initiatives is also constrained by the competing demands for livelihoods, agriculture, or development. Furthermore, natural disasters often shift community priorities toward urgent human needs. Despite these obstacles, the organization remain deeply committed to environmental stewardship and are actively seeking opportunities to strengthen and expand their work.
