The Mbya Guarani indigenous community Tekoa Miri is located in the colony of Oro Verde, Capiovi, Misiones, Argentina (2653'08.7"S 5507'22.9"W). It has around 45 hectares in which 35 families live (140 inhabitants, of which 86 are children). The objective is to strengthen the productive activity of yerba mate with 2000 seedlings under an agroforestry production system with 300 trees of native species. The selection of the land was carried out with technicians accompanied by members of the Community. The team selected the land suitable for yerba mate production and prepared the soil with contour lines for the care of the soil and water management. The planting will take place on 11/7/25. The organization coordinate this activitie with otrher four institutions: Linea Cuchilla Institute (secondary education), National Institute of Agricultural Technology, Father Jose Foundation and Procaypa (vocational training institute). Economic pressure for illegal deforestation and land use change. Ideologisation of policies (e.g. Rejection of 'Agenda 2030'). Opposition from evangelical groups linked to agricultural businesses. Ecumenical reluctance. Religious dogmas without an environmental focus. Proselytising approach ('save souls, not the environment').

The church has lands with native forests that have not been exploited economically to protect the environment. The organization hwhich is provided to local farmers through various organizations to restore the diversity of native oak trees. The church owns two schools where children and adolescents are educated about good agricultural practices. Argentine Republic, Province of Misiones, Town of Ruiz de Montoya LAND UNDER ECONOMIC USE. The organization has been implementing a reforestation project with the environmental team for almost five years (2020-2025). During this time, the organization has reforested 510 hectares with 450,000 trees in collaboration with 2,200 producers over a five-year period, in partnership with different levels of government and various environmental and civil society organizations. The organization is currently in talks with WWF to expand their reforestation work through an environmental restoration project in the Paran rainforest. The need for records and monitoring is essential for planning the necessary interventions in each territory. Territorial agreements are fragile and subject to cost-benefit ratios in a context of profound economic crisis and in a region subject to intense pressure from multinational corporations on freshwater reserves, soil productivity, and the corruption of the local and international political and economic system.
